DigCompEdu and genAI in Language Teaching (DAILT)

The DAILT project aims to provide resources to support adult language teachers in the ethical, effective and safe implementation of genAI tools
The project builds upon existing work in this space via the adaptation of results from existing Erasmus Plus projects related to genAI and digitally competent language teachers
The project will develop a profile of an adult language teacher, incorporating the core skills and competences required to effectively & ethically use genAI for professional purposes, aligned to a range of existing language teaching and genAI European frameworks policies; as well as an open digital toolkit designed to support teachers in achieving the skills and competences associated with said profile.
The project is intended to result in greater familiarity with and uptake of genAI tools among adult language teachers, in a safe, ethical and effective manner, through the provision of a range of practical open learning resources. Project results will serve as a solution to the challenge of supporting adult language teachers in how and why they may adopt genAI tools, while simultaneously aligning to European frameworks and policies related to both language teaching and AI.
